Abstract:
In the past, I understood that “Everything is reserved for me” chapter in Mencius from the perspective of secret experience or perceptual knowledge is not the original meaning of Mencius. From the perspective of Mencius’s thought, “all things are reserved for me” means that the basis of the becoming of thousands of things, even if human things become ethical things, it is complete in the nature of “I彩官网””. If you can turn around and seek inwardly and recognize the four ends of the mind and maintain and expand it, so that the reality of the final reality is “reflection and integrity”. “Everything is reserved for me” is a method of confirmation for Mencius’s nature to be good at scrutiny, which is a condition of thinking; “reflecting on one’s body and being kind” is a method of expression for Mencius’s learning of virtue, which is the path of kung fu. From the condition of thinking to the path of kung fu, it is not a little secret.
The traditional interpretation of this chapter may help the Confucian system understand, so Cheng and Zhu used the “reason of all things” to understand “all things”; or helped his own realm to experience it with one’s own body, so he learned to understand the “all things” path through “all things in one body”; as for the ancients, they understood this life topic more from the understanding of people and things or the relationship between them. The last journey will not be Mencius’s problem consciousness.Although the first two paths have their own sources and basis, they have not truly been in line with Mencius’ original intention. In the end, it is not in line with the inner principles of Mencius’s contemplation. The following first draws two traditional interpretations and then develops from the basic thinking of Mencius’s thoughts to clarify the unique meaning of “integrity” in Mencius’s thoughts and kung fu discussions, and then reminds the original meaning of “everything is reserved for me”.
1. Two ways of saying “Everything is reserved for me”
“Everything is reserved for me” comes from “The Heart”:
Mencius said: “Everything is reserved for me. If you turn around and be kind, don’t be happy. If you do forgiveness and do not seek benevolence, you will not be close to you.” p>
The mercenary thought that “all things are reserved for me” has the direction of the secret theory: “If Mencius’ philosophy has the secret theory, all things are reserved for me, that is, I and all things are found in one body. I and all things are found in one body, but because there is a separation, I and all things seem to be separated, and this is not “honest”. If “reflect and be honest”, and return to the state of being one body with all things,” href=”https://twsugarblog.org/”>Sweetheart GardenDon’t have fun in it. If you want to return to the state of being one with all things, use the method of “love to do things”. What is said is “to be forgiven and do not seek benevolence.” Seek kindness with kindness, and seek kindness with kindness. Both forgiveness and benevolence are valued. When the boundary between people and me is removed, I will be one with all things. This explanation is in line with Mencius’s original intention, and the philosophy of Confucianism in Song and Confucianism all deduces this meaning.” (联利子, pages 144-145) This statement is in line with the direction of the interpretation of Confucianism in Song and Ming dynasties from the perspective of “all things are one”.
Chen Chen examined the mysteries in the tradition of the heart, and believed that the beginning of the religious secrets of the Confucianism was in Mencius: “Mencius said: ‘Everything is reserved for me, and if you turn around and be kind, you will not be happy.’ Why can all things be reserved for me? It is not just a matter of constant debate in the contemporary academic world. This was also true in the Song and Ming dynasties. Therefore, Cheng and Zhu wanted to interpret “all things” as “all things” to express the confusion of Mencius’s life topic to the philosopher of sentient beings. According to the above in this article, from the perspective of the secret experience of the Olympian experience, Mencius’s words are not only completely understandable, but also as a source, it is very standardized. After the later Confucianism experienced the content of his own life. Not to mention the story of Xiangshan and Yangci Lake in Zhang Huang, Chen Baisha “I stand with my six senses, and I transform my whole body, and the universe is in me”, “This heart is true, bright and clear, and everything is ready”, Hu Zhi “sees Liuhe and everything is my heart”, and believes that “the universe is hidden, and it is a whole body” and so on etc. are all the singular summary 1: the type of physical experience. Although the ‘reflection and kindness’ is not detailed, it is good to have a big view of the body. Mencius’s ‘benefit of nourishing the noble atmosphere’ is also certain. And ‘Don’t be happy’ is expressing the pleasure that all the secrets of the body have. This wayThe explanation of this is not necessarily a strong association from the common characteristics of Confucian secrets clearly mentioned above. “(Chen Lai, 2006, pages 380-381), “All things are reserved for me” later became an opening for the Confucian secrets’ experience. This is the fact of historical consequences and does not represent the classical essence.
Another explanation of “All things are reserved for me” is to advance from “knowledge”. As Zhaoqi said: “Things are things.” I am the body. People who are all accused of being adults have always known that all things in the country have always done. Integrity means reality. Think about what one does, and you can do it without any ignorance. Don’t be happy. “(See Jiao Xun, pages 882-883) This statement interprets “reserve” as “reserve knowledge”. However, “reserve knowledge of all things in the country” is only a kind of human nature. It is not from the beginning, nor is it everyone knows. The limitation of “adult past” can solve the previous problem, but there is no dredging the latter problem. Since “everything is reserved for me” is understood by knowledge, accordingly, “reflecting on one’s body” must be explained by “action”. This explanation to the most classic way comes from Zhu Zi:
The essence of this theory博取. The king, minister, father and son are small, and the matter is small, and the natural principles are not included in the nature. Integrity is true. When speaking and talking about the body, the principles they have to be kept are like the reality of being evil and stinky, and lustful. If they act without any effort, they will be strong and unlucky. Who is so happy? Forgiveness is to recommend oneself to others. Forgiveness is to recommend oneself to others. If one is to be kind, one is to be kind, but one is not honest, but one is to be separated from one’s own interests, but the principle is not pure. Therefore, when one is to be strong in everything, one is to be strong in one’s own way, and one is to be honest in one’s own way, so that one can be justified in one’s own way. But benevolence is not far away. This chapter says that the principles of all things are contained in my body, and they are fulfilled in their bodies, and the truth is in me and I am happy; if I do it to forgive, I will not be tolerated by my own self and benevolence can be obtained. (Zhu Xi, page 350)
Zhu Zi believed that “all things are reserved for me” that is, “the principles of all things are contained in my body.” ”, which means “the mind has a variety of principles”, which is the interpretation of the word “increase”. Judging from Cheng and Zhu’s thinking system, it seems that only this interpretation is very reasonable: “If all things are in me, it is just that the ki
